Michal Narajewski  received the Science Award in Economics for outstanding academic achievements in his dissertation on forecasting and optimizing electricity prices in short-term markets. His advanced forecasting models provide efficient decision-making tools for market participants in determining short-term price predictions. These results are crucial for reducing costs and maintaining energy supply stability in the long run. The award was presented by Sparkasse Essen and is endowed with 5,000 €. His dissertation was supervised by Florian Ziel. The entire department is very proud and warmly congratulates him on this achievement.
