Maria Weber Grant for Florian Ziel

Prof. Dr. Florian Ziel has just been awarded a Maria Weber grant by the Hans Böckler Foundation.

With the Maria Weber Grant, the Hans Böckler Foundation supports excellent junior professors and post-doctoral students of all disciplines in their university career. The award winners receive 40,000 euros for two semesters each. This is intended to finance a substitute for their teaching obligations and to give the recipients time for further research. This means that Prof. Ziel's teaching obligations for two semesters will be reduced by two semester hours per week. The time freed up will be invested in the research project entitled "The Structure of Forecasting Errors and the Value of Forecasts in Energy Markets".

The entire chair is very pleased and wishes great success in the upcoming research project.
