We are very pleased to announce that the German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding a joint project between the University of Duisburg-Essen, TU Dortmund University and Ruhr University Bochum in the field of empirical research for the energy transition. 

In a sub-project, our chair will develop modern forecasting methods for wind and solar energy together with Antonia Arsova (TU Dortmund University). Furthermore, advanced econometric methods will be used to analyse the effects of renewable energies on the European electricity market and on European electricity market coupling.
